Productive Day : )

Hi!  I finally had a chance today to get caught up at work.  I feel a lot less stressed now.  And I was pretty productive today.  I'm a type A so productivity = good. 

I got my gun cleaning kit finally... and now that I type that I am reminded that I should be cleaning the gun..oops.  I also got some books:

 This book tells the author's story of recovering from a terrible automobile accident (he was on a bike, and hit by a bus!) and eventually making his way back to running.  I read an excerpt in Runner's World magazine and thought it would be a good inspirational story for me.

Of course this book I got all for the recipes!

And of course I did some art:

 

This is called the optimist and the pessimist.  I totally messed up the eyes cuz I smudged it with my hand... its just an art journal entry though.  I'd actually like to explore this concept some more - take more time and do some different layouts.   This page used watercolors, neocolors and watercolor pencils.  The idea behind this is how my self talk can swing from so positive one moment to so negative the next. 

 This is in the new, small journal that I got.  Had some leftover watercolors and wanted to use them up.  These are just backgrounds for future arting!

I also made more Sweet Potato Fries....they are soo good!  I also started working on the Christmas Tree:

Lots left to do before I am fully decorated for Christmas, but the plan is to work on it this weekend!!  I want to be completely decorated before I go home for Thanksgiving so that I can enjoy the Christmas feeling for as long as possible!  I think Christmas is my most favorite time of year.  I want to get an Angel from an Angel Tree this year - I have wanted to do it for a few years now but the Army always has me in situations where I cant - I think this year I can though.

Oh yes, and I tried a new tea today:

Peppermint Bark.  Its a peppermint flavored black tea.  Usually peppermint flavors are herbal, but this one was good.  You can get this tea, and others at this website: http://twotealadies.com/   I got this sample packet at the Mistletoe Market when I was in Raleigh last weekend.
