Go, Go, Go

Hi guys!  Sorry for being such a bad blogger but I really have been go-go-going since Monday morning!  Monday was my last day of classes.  It went well!  I ended up with 3 A's and 1 B (in drawing - sadface) - my only B since 2000!

Quick back-track..before I went to my last class on Monday I went to my follow up with my doc - my x-rays and MRI of my neck were normal.  So, their next idea was that the numbness in my right middle finger is due to extreme inflammation in my wrist (carpal tunnel) - so they put me on prednisone.  Its my first time to ever take that - I am having side effects, most notably: A WHOLE LOT OF EXTRA APPETITE. Quite annoying when you are trying to eat healthy!

Anyways, after class on Monday I loaded up my car and I was on the road Tuesday morning.  I drove all day and got  to Tallahassee, FL on Tuesday evening.  Then I drove around and checked out places to live that looked good online - Not a single place looked good in person.

Wednesday morning I went for a run/walk (mostly walking!) and then I went to a bunch of apartments and checked out a quadraplex and a duplex. I stopped by the book store and got myself a FSU sticker for my car, a pink FSU fleece (on clearance), and some FSU Nike Running Shorts (on clearance).  I also stopped by Utrecht Art Supply store - you know its mandatory to stop at a good store when you are near one!  I got some markers:

I had previously used up all my markers in those colors!  It started down pouring at about 430pm and I was done for the day so I went back to my hotel and did some art:

Both of those are 9x12! I can't claim that shoe as my own - the outline was in grey and I just added the color and changed the outline to black!  All the other stuff with the shoe is my own.

This morning I went to check out the Apalachee Regional Trail Park.  I was out there for about 45 min but I don't think I even made it to the trails because I parked by the soccer fields!  It was nice to be out in nature though and I even got to see a turtle!

Then after breakfast and a shower I went to look at every other even remotely possible apartment complex because I was not having any luck.  Still no luck.  I did find one more contender today, but really the apartment I want is the same one that I wanted back in FEB and they cannot confirm yet that they will have the apartment for me come August.  After all this time here I am actually no closer to having a place to live when I start school!  I am going to give it a few weeks - the apartment I want thinks they will have confirmation by Memorial Day - so everyone keep your fingers crossed!

Tomorrow I am leaving Tally and headed to Tallulah, LA - about 8 more hours of driving (not counting stops!)  Its going to be rough, but then Saturday I will only have a 5 hour drive before I get home to TX!!!
